Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Qualified Service Provider and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to residents in group homes, assisted living facilities, or home and community settings. Your energy and commitment will help promote independence, safety, and well-being for those you serve. This paid position offers an enriching opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while fostering a supportive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, autism, and other health conditions. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts safely to ensure comfort and prevent injury Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks Document care activities accurately in compliance with privacy standards like HIPAA Engage residents in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation Skills Proven experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or working with people with disabilities or developmental disabilities Knowledge of patient observation techniques and dementia or Alzheimer's care strategies Ability to perform CPR and First Aid confidently; certification preferred but training available Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and team members Physical ability for heavy lifting, assisting with transfers using Hoyer lifts, and supporting mobility needs Compassionate attitude with patience for working with individuals experiencing memory loss or behavioral challenges Familiarity with creating and following personalized care plans tailored to each resident's needs Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication transforms lives!
