Company Overview ➢ The work of FillTech is created in a FDA registered facility and monitored by a deep bench of Quality professionals to ensure compliance with mandated cGMP. For global customers, the company is cleared by Health Canada and other offshore regulators. In addition, FillTech successfully completes regular quality and safety audits by its customers. Many customers, and all of the largest ones, have worked with FillTech for nearly a decade. FillTech has grown primarily through referrals from existing customers. ➢ Founded in 1995, FillTech has grown over the years and moved into its current facility in 2018. The plant and headquarters location is near Rockwell, NC which is east of Salisbury, NC. Salisbury is approximately 40 minutes North of Charlotte and 50 minutes South of the Greensboro/Winston Salem area. Many of its team members commute from the Northern suburbs of Charlotte including Huntersville, Mooresville, Concord or Salisbury. Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Incoming Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting incoming materials and components to ensure they meet strict quality standards and regulatory requirements. Your keen eye for detail, technical expertise, and commitment to quality will help maintain the integrity of our products and uphold our reputation for excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to product safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Incoming Quality Assurance Inspector will perform their role as follows: Reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and/or Quality & Regulatory Affairs Director Inspects and approves incoming raw materials (including chemicals, components, supplies, and packaging materials) by confirming specifications, conducting visual / physical tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. Review and approve Certificates of Analysis and Certificates of Conformance Perform sampling on raw materials (including chemicals, components, supplies, and packaging materials for personal care, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical products. Identify and label materials, recording warehouse locations, maintaining inventory, and conducting physical inventory activities Move materials from loading, sampling, and storage locations; re-palletizing materials, as necessary Perform additional or enhanced inspections according to AQL standards and verify against established specifications. Collect retain samples and inspect retain samples on a scheduled frequency Documents Non-conformances according to standard operating procedures, placing materials on hold or in quarantine for further disposition, and assisting with investigations of non-conformances Documents inspection results by completing written and computerized reports, logs, and files Maintains cleanliness of work area and assists with cleaning of other areas within the facility Audits facility against FDA cGMP guidelines and other regulatory (such as Health Canada and TGA Australian compliance) or customer requirements Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures Complies with all regulatory/in-house requirements which may include but not limited to safety, housekeeping, warehousing, production, waste, cGMP and cGDP requirements Assist other QA Inspectors and serve as back-up to other QA Inspectors Perform additional job-related duties, as required
REQUIREMENTS
Must have High School Diploma or GED 1+ years of experience in high volume manufacturing, previous experience within a cGMP compliant facility preferred Ability to read, write, and to follow instructions and Standard Operating Procedures Excellent Written and verbal communication skills, ability to complete inspection reports Basic math skills, ability to count and take accurate inventory of materials Computer Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office and other software Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail Good Documentation skills Good Hand/eye coordination Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment independently with little guidance or as a member of a team Must be forklift certified or ability to obtain forklift certification Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work at the main location or at an off-site warehouse location in Rockwell, NC.
