Job Summary Part A:

Aroostook Produce Distributors, Inc. contracts with local growers, selling and delivering potatoes to chip plants.

Quality Control Job Description:

Travel to Grower's loading shed each morning. Deliver paperwork, conduct inspection of load. Collect a sample. Return to office, fry the sample. Vehicle and cell phone provided. Aprox 20 - 30 hours a week thru shipping season = Mid August thru Mid June. M-F early morning to 11:00 +/-. Saturday mornings as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
• Utilize various quality inspection tools such as a thermometer, scales, hydrometer and fryer.
• Document inspection results, maintain accurate records
• Harvest bruise testing

Job Summary Part B:

Sister company Miller Farms LLC is a seed potato farm growing primarily chip variaties that are shipped to Florida up thru into Quebec.

GAP Job Description:

Prepare the farm for the annual USDA Harmonized + GAP Audit. Weekly storage checks, maintain postings, logs, firs aid kits, mouse traps, etc. Clean restrooms weekly. Conduct annual water testing. Conduct two annual safety trainings. Material will be provided Aprox 1 - 3 hours a week year round. Work to be conducted during the week day around Quality Control schedule. Pay Rate for both parts of the job combined: Three paid holidays - Independence Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas. One week paid vacation. Pay rate dependent on experience

From $17.00 per hour
