The QCM will oversee all quality-related functions, ensure compliance with contract specifications, manage inspection processes, and maintain rigorous documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain the project-specific Quality Control Plan in accordance with Dominion Energy and federal installation requirements. Conduct daily site inspections and generate Daily QC Reports. Verify contractor compliance with plans, specifications, submittals, and Dominion Energy standards. Review and track submittals, RFIs, test reports, material certifications, and NCRs. Coordinate and document the Three-Phase QC Process (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up phases). Interface with Dominion Energy, Fort Hood representatives, subcontractors, and inspectors. Ensure worksite safety and compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety programs. Maintain organized documentation for audits and progress meetings. Support scheduling, constructability reviews, and progress tracking as needed.
Required Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5 years of construction quality control experience on utility, energy, federal, or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of construction specifications, drawings, and contract documents. Ability to pass all background requirements, including proof of three years of U.S. residency. Eligible to work in the United States; valid driver's license. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Excel. Ability to work in outdoor environments and navigate active construction sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with federal construction projects or Owner's Representative roles. Experience in energy, power distribution, or utility-related construction. Knowledge of USACE or federal QC processes.
Other Skills and Knowledge:
Excellent communication skills for briefings and coordination. Strong organizational skills, including documentation, minutes, and tracking. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Strong organizational skills to track projects, prepare meeting minutes, and meet required deadlines. Must be able to work in all weather conditions, wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, walk long distances on rough and uneven surfaces, stand for long periods, lift construction materials to access inspections, climb ladders and scaffolding, and navigate typical civil construction site obstacles.
Work Schedule:
Primarily weekday day shifts with occasional nights, weekends, or holidays required by project needs. Pay:
$110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
