HIRING IMMEDIATELY
QUALITYCONTROL IN ISLANDIA, NY
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Quality Control to join our team in Islandia, New York. This individual will be responsible for leading critical quality operations in a high-volume environment where every decision impacts food safety, customer satisfaction, and brand reputation. The ideal candidate will possess HACCP and SQF experience, experience in food or grocery distribution, warehouse operations, or wholesale environments, and more listed below. Pay, Schedule, and Location $70,000 + bonus Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision Full time schedule Located in Islandia, New York Duties and Responsibilities Oversee daily operations across Quality Assurance, Cheese, and Janitorial departments for all shifts. Supervise warehouse product handling to ensure strict adherence to quality standards. Manage and continuously improve the company s quality inspection, product release, and in-process control programs. Monitor, enforce, and enhance the facility s HACCP program, ensuring compliance with SQF, GMPs, and all food safety requirements. Prepare and analyze quality documentation, including trend reports, corrective actions, recalls, and re-validations. Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations governing food distribution. Enforce plant quality standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee store order processes to ensure exceptional service levels. Support warehouse supervisors and associates in understanding policies, procedures, and job duties. Maintain high sanitation, production, and safety standards across the facility. Respond to customer concerns, discrepancy reports, and quality issues to maintain strong client relationships. Build, motivate, and develop a high-performing team while promoting a positive, collaborative work environment. Assign duties, schedule shifts, manage break periods, and coordinate vacation schedules. Conduct performance evaluations in alignment with HR policies. Communicate quality and productivity expectations clearly and consistently Requirements and Qualifications HACCP and SQF experience required; strong understanding of food safety, GMPs, and regulatory compliance. Experience in food or grocery distribution, warehouse operations, or wholesale environments. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of management. High computer literacy, including MS Office, Excel, and WMS systems. Ability to lead diverse teams with confidence, clarity, and accountability. Self-starter mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Flexibility to work any shift as business needs evolve. Some college-level management coursework is preferred. Minimum 2 years of warehouse supervision in a wholesale or distribution environment Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Comfortable working at a computer for extended periods.
