Quality Control Technician

Description Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Dimensionally inspect manufactured components (manual inspection, CMM, and by assembly) Physically assemble components as needed following the engineering drawings Wrap manufactured components, tag, and gather all items for final verification Document all manufactured parts that fail inspection and give disposition to engineering/PM Assist the Project Management department with specialty applications Assist internal and external vendors with the manufacturing of designed components by doing in-process inspection as needed Utilize ERP software to receive manufactured parts into stock through work orders, record time, and review work orders Assist project management with verifying all physical components are allocated for on the picklist Assist with training of new employees All other duties as assigned

MUST HAVES

Associates or Bachelors Degree, Technical Schooling or trade school, or Apprenticeship 2-3+ years' of experience within the Quality Technician Industry Must come from a manufacturing environment Prior experience running/programming a CMM (they use Zeiss/Calypso) Must be able to use calipers, tape measurers, micrometers, volt meter, oscilloscopes Mechanically inclined, understand how things work - QC process, lean principles, etc. Documentation Non-conforming report into Excel (NCR's) Ability to read a blueprint, engineering drawing, or schematic Continuous Improvement initiatives for inventory management Microsoft Office products is required

PLUS HAVE

ERP Experience, putting items into inventory through a work order (Upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics) Extensive knowledge of metrology methods and equipment Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $37.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
