Job Description

SUMMARY The Quality Engineer is responsible for performing QA & QC process in support of Printed Wiring Board, Wiring Harness, Mechanical assembly, continual improvement activities, and conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures and quality standards. Initiating and overseeing Nonconforming Material Control and Root Cause Corrective Action processes. The Quality Engineer should have experience and working knowledge with
ISO 9001, AS
9100/9120, as well as familiarity with US Department of Defense regulations (FARs, DLADs, DFARs, etc.).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to validate product conformity to approved engineering drawings. Supports receiving, in-process, and final inspection activities and/or personnel to ensure product quality is maintained. Thorough understanding of First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102. Provides investigation and RCCA for quality escapes, aircraft damage events and safety issues for business units, as required. Coordinate with authorized Quality department members to disposition nonconforming products. Issue, maintain and follow-up on internal and supplier Corrective Action Requests. Participate in the planning, execution, and follow up of Internal Audits Participating in the execution, and follow up of 3rd party and Customer Audits Ability to create power point presentations and hold meetings in relation to supplier performance. Ensure accurate data is maintained in the Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) system for Product Conformity and On-Time Delivery systems are in place for tracking, reporting and maintaining supplier performance; including supplier development and improvement actions. All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or Two (2) years minimum experience related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification desired. Minimum two years' quality assurance experience or equivalent in aerospace manufacturing and/or maintenance operations required. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills required. Must be at ease with oral and written communications under stress.

The environmental characteristic for this position is an electronics CCA, Mechanical Box Build and Cable and Harness manufacturing setting. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
