Share this job Quality Engineer Saginaw, MI Apply for this job Quality Engineer II We are seeking a Quality Engineer II to support casting and machining operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will focus on problem solving, process improvement, and supporting quality initiatives across production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, hands-on manufacturing experience, and the ability to apply structured problem-solving methodologies to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions. Key Responsibilities Support quality engineering activities within casting and machining operations Investigate manufacturing and process-related quality issues Lead and support root cause analysis and corrective action activities Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies to drive decision making Collaborate with cross-functional manufacturing and engineering teams Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and operational performance Participate in daily plant floor activities and production support Document findings, recommendations, and corrective actions Support process audits and quality standards compliance Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required, preferably Mechanical Engineering or related field Minimum of 2 years of engineering or quality experience within a manufacturing environment Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Experience applying formal problem-solving methodologies Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred Experience Casting and/or machining operations experience Automotive manufacturing experience Experience working in high-volume production environments Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and quality systems Additional Information Training will initially occur on first shift Position primarily supports second shift operations with possible future third shift support based on business needs Overtime and weekend support may be required EOE (including Disability/Veterans) #HRUProfessional Apply for this job
