Job Description

The Quality Functional Testing and Measurement Utility Operator is a role focused on supporting the Quality team with basic inspection, testing, and measurement activities. This position helps ensure products meet established standards by performing routine checks, recording measurement data, and supporting testing processes as directed by Quality Technicians. This role may involve handling fiberglass materials and other production components. Familiarity with measurement devices and units of measure. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-solving, adaptability, and decision-making abilities. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate respectfully in a team setting. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to pass pre-employment screenings. Training timeline for this position is up to 4 weeks. Lift up to 60 lbs. at waist level and up to 30 lbs. at shoulder level occasionally. Push or pull up to 80 lbs. occasionally. Generate up to 65 lbs. of grip strength and 15 lbs. of pinch strength occasionally. Perform repetitive tasks for up to 12 hours per day. Stand continuously and walk frequently during shifts. Stoop, kneel, squat, and reach forward or sideways as needed. Perform occasional elevated work when handling products. Display average coordination with both hands continuously. Perform routine, assigned quality checks using basic measurement tools such as tape measures, gauges, and templates. Support functional testing processes by preparing materials, staging parts, and assisting with test setups. Record measurement results clearly and accurately according to established forms or digital systems. Identify obvious defects or non‑conformities and report findings to Quality Technicians or supervisors. Assist with basic data collection tasks related to quality, production issues, or test results. Follow established inspection processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Demonstrate flexibility in work hours, including mandatory overtime as needed. Comply with all safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures. Rotate to other positions as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
