Job Description

The opportunity described below is for an hourly position and will be responsible for annual layout inspection, MPI testing, and monitoring production and final quality checks. This position is a 2nd shift position; M-F and every other weekend 3p-11p, with OT as assigned.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
:
  • Perform all inspection functions according to the written procedure.
  • Operate a variety of inspection equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Follow all process information sheets and work instructions.
  • Complete quality production checks in PM.MES.
  • Perform MPI tests to verify compaction production conformity.
  • Complete Annual Layouts according to customer requirements and for PPAP's as assigned by Metrology Lab Lead.
  • Properly report scrap and labor information using written, as well as electronic data collection devices.
  • Identify product and shop orders.
  • Maintain quality related records.
  • Observe all plant safety rules, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the work area in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
  • Support plant programs for Lean Enterprise, HSE and housekeeping.
  • Works closely with: Direct Supervisor, other shift supervisors, Production employees.
SKILL / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
: Position requires High School graduate (or equivalent experience). Prior experience in quality assurance function desired. Ability to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions. Must have basic computer skills. Must pass quality exam and eye exam for visual acuity and color recognition. Must possess training and educational experience requirements as described on this job's training matrix. Must be willing to progress in role through training and courses (including but not limited to Print reading, GD&T course, and CMM training)

$24.15 - $29.10 per hour
