Quality Inspector

Job Description:
The Quality Inspector performs detailed quality checks on finished duct bank units to ensure they meet all specifications and standards. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, taking precise measurements, documenting findings, and collaborating with production and management to address any nonconformances. The position supports both the production floor and lab testing activities while helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.Shift Description:

Responsibilities:
Perform thorough quality checks on finished duct bank units to ensure they meet all required specifications and standards. Read and interpret blueprints to compare finished products against design requirements. Use a tape measure to take accurate measurements and verify dimensions of completed units. Sign off on completed builds after verifying quality and compliance with specifications. Manage and prioritize inspection workload across multiple bays to support production flow. Report any quality issues, defects, or nonconformances to management in a timely manner. Complete quality reports, documentation, and records as required. Perform additional testing in the lab when needed to confirm product quality and compliance. Assist in maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas on the production floor and in the lab. Collaborate with production team members to resolve quality concerns and improve processes. Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture on the shop floor.Essential Skills:
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints. Strong attention to detail when inspecting products and documenting findings. Organizational skills to manage time and inspection workload across multiple bays. Basic understanding of quality inspection practices and processes. Ability to communicate clearly with management and production teams about quality issues. Commitment to following safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Previous experience in concrete and/or precast concrete manufacturing is a plus but not required. Previous quality inspection experience is a plus but not required. Familiarity with concrete testing and precast concrete processes is beneficial. American Concrete Institute (ACI) certification, especially Field Testing Level One or Two, is highly desirable. Experience working in a large, industrial manufacturing facility is an advantage. Why Work Here? This role is based in a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility operating on a 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. schedule, Monday through Friday, with some weekly overtime typically bringing total hours to no more than around 50 per week. The facility is not climate-controlled and can be dusty and dirty due to ongoing concrete pouring operations, especially as trucks currently pull into the bays while new machinery is being installed. The production floor currently has about 50 employees, with plans to grow to around 80 over the next three months. Safety is a top priority, with strong emphasis on safe work practices and adherence to safety protocols. All tools needed for the job are provided, and employees work in an active, industrial environment focused on precast concrete and duct bank production. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Massillon, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $47840.00- $52000.
