Job Description
Company Overview Global Harvest Foods, LLC is a prominent manufacturer specializing in wild bird, caged bird, and small pet food products. With a 35-year legacy of quality and innovation, the company operates manufacturing and distribution facilities across key locations to ensure efficient supply chain management and product delivery. Job Overview We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet stringent quality standards and comply with industry regulations. Your expertise will support continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes, uphold safety standards, and guarantee customer satisfaction through precise quality control measures.
THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT POSITION- HOURS ARE 3PM-11
30PM Responsibilities- Familiarize self with company policies, forms and procedures. Understand customer requirements and industry standards.
- Ability to read, write and do basic math and posses or have the ability to learn some basic computer skills.
- Makes recommendations on specifications, testing, root cause analysis and the overall quality process.
- Completes in-process and final product inspections to validate that quality is understood by the associates and is being built into the product.
- Records results of all inspections, communicates, documents and files all inspections daily.
- Works cooperatively with all employees, Quality Coordinator and Production Manager in an effort to gain knowledge and give recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Follow daily procedures, fill out forms and keep a daily filing system on all appropriate documentation to support findings on inspections completed.
- Assists with Quality Coordinator in training of associates as requested.
- Projects a strong Quality image through strong obvious dedication to quality and quality improvements.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds
- Must have good time management skills (Self-directed and Motivated).
- Must work overtime during production, as needed Food Safety Responsibilities Ensure that all ingredients appear to be free from contamination Ensure that the scales used have been calibrated each morning Ensure the proper specifications are met with each product Verify that all records are updated on the server and all documents are complete

High School graduate or its equivalent is preferred. Must have the ability to read and follow instructions. Good written and verbal communication skills required.Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets common journals, reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or operations.Math Ability:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference and reporting techniques such as Pareto and root cause analysis. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Explorer Microsoft Outlook and production software programs.Pay:
