Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Performs new and routine inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures of standard parts. Responsible for receiving, in-process, or final inspections as required.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for utilizing aptitude in measurement techniques, metrology, and blueprint reading and verify operators are accurately measuring and recording dimensions on IP sheets or other documentation. Perform first article and first piece approval for operators. Perform inspection duties for in-process and final inspection. Complete and review non-conformance documentation. Support quality improvement and cost savings initiatives, as required. Assist Quality Engineers, as required. Assist in other production areas, as needed. Perform other quality or document control duties, as assigned.SKILLS:
Interpersonal skills. Verbal communication skills. Attention to detail. Proficient in blue print and GD&T knowledge. Ability to correctly use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, and pin gages, etc.EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three years of previous experience in the field.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
