Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Determine quality improvement factors Ensure evaluation of vendor quality systems and initiate and complete corrective actions as required Implement inspection methods and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing processes Manage Internal Quality Audit Program Actively participate and lead where appropriate in the Change Management processes Determine the need for and manage First Article Inspection Requests (FAIR) Plan and organize training sessions for employees that provide tools to execute Continuous Improvement activities and support quality processes Facilitate major improvement projects as assigned Assist with the development and implementation of inspection criteria Document working processes and/or work instructions across the organization and provide guidance for improvement Manage to completion non-compliance of products by working with the Materials Department, driving to root cause and providing sustainable corrective action as needed Manage Corrective Action program Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended periods are required to perform basic office functions Site visits could require the ability to climb a steep ladder, be exposed to dusty areas, walk on uneven ground, stand for extended periods of time, walk a distance, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience 2-5 years applied and related quality experience Successful Implementation and training in Lean Manufacturing tools Proven knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO-9001, and
AAR M-1003
) Quality Auditor (ISO-9001) Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred ASQ certification preferred Ability to interpret technical procedures and regulations Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well across all levels of the organization Ability to function independently of direct supervision Self-motivated with the ability to lead and motivate others without direct oversight authority Positive attitude and strong work ethic Strong problem-solving skills Applied experience with mentoring, leading, and coaching at various organizational levels Strong organizational skills Strong computer skills and proficient in MS office applications Preferred experience with developing quality acceptance criteria Travel up to 30% as required Pass mandatory pre-employment drug screen, background check, and a current valid driver's license Disclaimer This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job.
