Job Description

Overview:
US Premier Tube Mills (USPTM), a wholly owned subsidiary of Master Halco, a leading and growing domestic supplier of residential galvanized and powder coated pipe, is dedicated to quality, on-time delivery, and excellent customer service. USPTM has an immediate opportunity for a Quality and Safety Assistant. USPTM is focused on our people - our most important resource. Responsibilities:
Quality:
Audit tube on production lines and lots (not doing the checks for production) Assist in implementing key business processes Assist with a quality training program Prepare samples when needed Check gauges on the lines (calibration and condition) Investigate root cause working with other departments Issue and track variances, including closure and completion of corrective and preventative actions
Safety:
Coordinate Safety Inspections Coordinates meetings, such as safety training and first aid/CPR Educates and communicates safety to employees through group meetings. Perform safety audits and inspections as directed by the safety leader, collaborate with supervisors, managers, outside contractors and maintenance personnel to adhere to OSHA requirements Maintain Safety Training Records Assists with investigation of unsafe acts/conditions and near misses
Qualifications:
Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills Strong Microsoft Office skills Experience working in a manufacturing environment Ability to work well with others and within teams. Preferred Education /
Related Experience:
