Job Description
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years quality experience.Preferred Education:
2-year degree with 2 years' quality experience 4-year degree in English, Business, Liberal Arts (preferred)Position Summary:
The Quality Specialist position is responsible for supporting and maintaining USEV's Quality Management System. This role is responsible for coordinating QA activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting process improvements, and guiding teams through investigations, audits and change management.Essential Functions:
Support investigations into customer defects and nonconformances / quality events Track, trend, and analyze data to identify reoccurring issues, generate reports and lead investigations and quality events Plan, conduct, and follow up on internal audits, help support external audits including preparation and gap assessments Help coordinate interdisciplinary improvement teams and meetings for internal audits and continuous improvement Help track process of departmental corrective actions Help support organizational compliance withISO 9001, IATF
16949, USEV and customer standards Review reports, records, and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance Help monitor and maintain USEV's quality system Responsible for USEV's change control system, specifically document control Adheres to all safety protocols and environmental regulations Help provide input on causes or reasons for quality problems and recommend process changes if necessary. Support production in a manner that maximizes efficiency Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.Preferred Skills:
Strong computer skills are required: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, etc. Excellent organizational skills Superior problem-solving ability Strong professional interpersonal and communication skills Attention to detail Ability to understand and interpret blueprintsOther Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed. Position requires extreme attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time. Must maintain proper vision requirements Must be able to maintain alertness to their surroundings.Work Environment:
