Job Description
Overview
The Quality Supervisor leads and directs the team of Quality Auditors. Ensures process and product audits are being conducted. Investigates and reports on daily quality issues. Oversees the procedures and the Document Control System. Administers the Corrective Action System.
Responsibilities
Spends approximately 75% of the time in the warehouse with associates, building relationships, coaching, teaching, developing and providing performance feedback.
Provides direct supervision and discipline to a team of skilled Quality Auditors.
Interview prospective employees.
Administer policies and guidelines that directly affect work activities.
Responsible for creating and supporting a positive work environment by observing and coaching employees on proper job-related behaviors and providing timely feedback on necessary action plans.
Sets and communicates clear expectations for team members regarding expected productivity results.
Makes recommendations to and supports Continuous Improvement Manager in preparing annual performance evaluations for QA associates and providing performance related information.
Ensures that KPI's and quality standards meet DC objectives.
Promotes continual improvements in material movement, inventory accuracy, safety, and employee development.
Creates, updates and implements quality related SOP's.
Impacts business through responsibility for the end results of the team and department.
In partnership with others, plans and uses independent discretion to organize day-to-day errors, operations activities, labor schedules, objectives and resolve any quality issues.
Improves efficiency, quality, accuracy and service of ongoing work by identifying process improvements and using best judgment to determine next steps for influencing change and partnering with leadership to resolve.
Responsible for assigning work, meeting completion deadlines, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organization policies.
Resolves problems requiring a broad-based analysis to determine solutions.
Builds trust with direct & indirect business partners by explaining rationale behind business processes & approaches taken in making decisions.
Discusses and presents information and issues with business partners located in various departments (such as finance and human resources).
Monitors the cleanliness and working conditions of all equipment and oversees repairs as needed.
Provides safety instruction to all associates as needed and reports all work-related injuries immediately.
Provides immediate medical attention to injured employees and completes required accident and incident report forms.
Assist in ensuring the security of the facility, its environment, and employees on contents.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Assist or leads continuous improvement projects.
