Position Summary:
This position will oversee the inspection and sampling of graphite electrodes from all processes. The supervisor must be familiar with all product inspection and measurement activities. This position will assist technical manager to train all inspection technicians how to use socket gauges to check socket geometry. This position will typically be a 40 hours per week position; however, working more than 40 hours may be necessary at times to complete assigned tasks.
Essential Functions:
Able to use all machining gauges for measurements Inspect and maintain spare parts for machine gauges to ensure they are available at all time Able to train inspections how to use socket geometry gauges Able to operate core drilling machine to extract graphite cores for sampling analysis Collect product or by-product samples for analysis when needed Able to access technical data base and customer specifications Must be familiar with all product flaw types in order to identify them correctly Perform final product inspections to comply to customer requirements/specifications Coordinate with production to arrange socket gauge shipments for calibration Coordinate with SCM to arrange shipments of graphite cores to labs for analysis Determine scrap/salvage cases brought up by production departments Familiar with match marks and able to fabricate match marks for production to use Performs other duties as required that are in support of the department's goals. Must be able to access all quality documents and familiar with product, process specifications, and sampling requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to multi-task and place priorities in an orderly manner Understand quality policy and familiar with all related quality documents for all processes Integrity Must be able to operable mobile equipment
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent experience (generally 5 years of related industrial experience)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no direct reports, but it should interact with Production Supervisors and Finishing inspectors to conduct final inspection for conformance in additional to routine analysis.
