Company/Location Overview Located in Pilot Point, Texas, Western Son Distillery operates out of a historic, repurposed factory just north of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Job Description/Responsibilities Western Son Distillery is seeking a detail-oriented QA Technician to support quality and food safety efforts within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for evaluating raw materials and finished products, conducting audits, and providing real-time feedback to production teams. You'll play a key role in maintaining product integrity, supporting compliance standards, and driving continuous improvement across the operation. What You'll Do Perform inspections and testing on raw materials and finished goods to ensure quality standards are met Conduct routine audits on production processes and provide feedback to frontline teams Document quality results, deviations, and corrective actions using company systems Support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to improve product quality Partner with Production and Quality teams to maintain food safety and compliance standards
Qualifications/Requirements Required:
High school diploma or GED required 1+ year of experience in quality assurance, quality control, lab, or related field Strong attention to detail with the ability to document and analyze data accurately Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or related field Experience in manufacturing, beverage, or CPG environments Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP, FSSC, or ISO Physical Requirements Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to fumes, noise, and varying conditions Ability to stand for extended periods and work overtime as needed Culture and Benefits Sazerac offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, and more. The hourly range for this role is $22.91 hourly to start with increases based on performance. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal pay equity considerations.
