8:00-4:30 Monday-Friday
JOB SUMMARY
Provides leadership and oversight of scheduling and outpatient admission processes for the Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology departments. Ensures prompt, accurate, and courteous customer service for patients across all age groups, including infants, children, adults, and geriatric populations. Supervises scheduling staff and coordinates daily workflow to support efficient patient access, scheduling accuracy, and completion of admission and clerical processes. Maintains a hands-on role in operations and assists with answering calls, scheduling patients, and completing admissions as needed due to staffing constraints or high demand. Leads communication of process and procedure changes to scheduling, Radiology, and Oncology staff, ensuring standardized workflow implementation. Actively contributes to performance improvement and CQI initiatives, partnering with leadership to identify and implement improvements in scheduling and admission processes. Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities: High School Graduate Strong customer service skills. Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a customer-service capacity, preferably in a medical imaging or oncology setting. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Strong written and oral skills. Ability to deal effectively with the public. Ability to communicate tactfully, with an emphasis on customer-service. Strong computer knowledge with the ability to learn specific computer system for scheduling and patient check in/check out. Technical skills associated with a clerical position. Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability. Demonstrate an aptitude toward a leadership role.
