Job Description
Job Summary This is a float position, will primarily float within the Montgomery Urgent Care locations. The Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures, producing images for the interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Radiographers must demonstrate an understanding of the human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. Radiographers must maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique. They must maintain knowledge of radiation protection and safety. Radiographers must remain sensitive to the physical, cultural and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring and patient care skills. Radiographers actively participate in a dual role while working in the clinical environment. Duties include but are not limited to patient registration, scheduling, clerical support, and customer service. Basic medical assistant duties may be performed by a radiologic technologist after training and competency are demonstrated. Medical assistant duties may include triaging patients under the direction and supervision of the provider.
