PRN role with flexible scheduling. The clinic is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and candidates can work shifts within these hours based on their availability. Who is SXR Health? Position Summary We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist / Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional care while supporting our mission to serve Veterans and patients. Job Responsibilities The following summary of major job functions is intended solely as a guide and may be modified as operational needs require. Provide comprehensive clinical and diagnostic support by performing ancillary diagnostic procedures including X-ray, ABI, EKG, phlebotomy, and Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT), ensuring proper patient positioning, image quality, and timely completion of all ordered exams. EKG, ABI, and PFT training provided to qualified candidates. Prepare Veterans/patients for examinations by verifying identity and demographics, obtaining accurate medical histories and vital signs, explaining procedures, and assisting or chaperoning providers as needed. Operate radiologic and diagnostic equipment in compliance with radiation safety standards (ALARA), infection control guidelines, patient safety protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements. Manage patient flow and front-office operations, including check-in and check-out, scheduling, phone management, chart creation, data entry, and coordination of authorizations or follow-up services when applicable. Maintain exam room readiness and facility standards by adhering to infection control protocols, ensuring proper sanitation, organization, equipment functionality, and inventory management. Ensure timely, accurate completion and handling of all documentation, diagnostic records, logs, reports, faxing, scanning, and electronic uploads in accordance with company policies and procedures. Monitor equipment performance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and promptly communicate concerns to appropriate team members or leadership. Deliver a Veteran-, patient-, and customer-first experience by demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and respect while fostering a positive, collaborative team environment. Comply with all company policies, procedures, professional standards, and regulatory guidelines. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support operational needs and business continuity. Requirements Graduate of an accredited radiology program and credentialed and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State-issued X-ray license, active and in good standing, as required. Minimum of one (1) year of X-ray experience preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider required within 30 days of hire date. Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and operational efficiency. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with patients, service members, providers, and cross-functional healthcare teams. Proficiency in data entry, typing, and medical terminology, with working knowledge of standard clinical and office equipment and systems. The role requires frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, grasp, or feel objects, tools, and controls; reach with hands and arms; and perform repetitive upper-body motions as necessary for patient exams. The employee may occasionally be required to climb stairs, maintain balance, stoop, kneel, and bend. The position also requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Employees must be able to view and interact with a computer monitor and keyboard for intermittent or extended periods as part of routine job duties.
