Ongoing learning and career advancement opportunities. How you'll contribute Radiology Surgical Tech Position Summary Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. Essential Functions Prepares the surgical suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies; ensures equipment and instruments are in good working order. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients. Passes instruments to physicians during surgery and continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies. Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory. Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; Graduate of a surgical technology program preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 6 months prior experience in another facility.
