Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiology Technician specializing in Cath Lab procedures to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform advanced imaging and diagnostic evaluations within the cardiac catheterization laboratory, supporting interventional cardiology and radiology teams. Your expertise will ensure precise imaging, patient safety, and optimal outcomes during complex procedures. Responsibilities Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring proper positioning and comfort while explaining the process clearly. Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as fluoroscopy machines, ultrasound devices, and other diagnostic tools used in the Cath Lab. Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, stent placements, and other interventional procedures by providing real-time imaging support. Monitor patient vital signs continuously, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and respiratory status throughout procedures. Maintain strict aseptic technique to prevent infection and ensure a sterile environment during all invasive procedures. Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records, including contrast usage, patient responses, and imaging findings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate diagnostic results, assist in physiological assessments, and support emergency interventions if necessary. Skills Strong knowledge of interventional radiology techniques and cardiac catheterization procedures. Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and physiology assessment during invasive interventions. Solid understanding of medical terminology relevant to cardiology and radiology fields. Experience with sonography and diagnostic evaluation techniques used in the Cath Lab setting. Knowledge of anatomy related to cardiovascular systems for accurate imaging and procedural guidance. Familiarity with aseptic techniques essential for maintaining sterile environments during invasive procedures. Ability to interpret vital signs quickly and respond appropriately during emergencies or unexpected patient reactions. Prior experience working in Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is highly desirable for handling complex cases efficiently. Understanding of emergency medicine protocols applicable within high-acuity environments such as trauma centers is advantageous.
