$2,050/week (~$51.25/hour based on 40 hours)Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging services in a correctional healthcare setting. This role includes performing X-ray procedures, supporting advanced imaging when applicable, and ensuring high-quality patient care while maintaining safety and compliance standards.QualificationsMinimum of 12 months of recent experience (within the last 3 years) in a similar settingActive California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license (required)Venipuncture certification (required)Fluoroscopy permit (if applicable to role)Additional modality certifications (Mammography, CT, MRI) preferredCurrent BLS/CPR certificationStrong communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentKey ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnostic X-ray imaging and ensure proper image qualityFollow established imaging protocols and safety standardsPrepare and position patients for imaging proceduresReview images for clarity, positioning, and accuracy before submissionAccurately label and document imaging studiesOperate and maintain radiology equipment in safe working conditionAssist providers with special imaging procedures when neededRespond to urgent or bedside imaging requestsMaintain accurate and timely records in
RIS/PACS
systemsEnsure compliance with radiation safety standards, including ALARA principlesMaintain adequate supplies and ensure readiness for proceduresAdditional ResponsibilitiesProvide patient care and ensure comfort during proceduresMonitor for and respond to any adverse reactions (e.g., contrast media)Maintain a professional and collaborative work environmentFollow infection control and safety protocolsRequirementsCompliance with respiratory protection standards (N95/PAPR clearance if applicable)Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work in a structured, secure environmentSimilar jobs in National City, CA
