700 Wall Ave, Wall, PA Pacific Rail Services is hiring immediately for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the Norfolk Southern Pittsburgh Rail Terminal. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling.

Starting pay:

$36 per hour. This is a union position. You will be employed directly by Pacific Rail Services and will not be considered an employee of the railroad. Qualifications Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in the diesel mechanical field with a strong focus on preventative maintenance Extensive knowledge of diesel engines, air systems, electrical systems, welding and hydraulic systems. Ability to use a torch Valid driver's license Must be able to successfully pass a seven-year background check, drug screening, and physical capabilities test Applicants must have their own tools (tool allowances are provided) Primary Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on the hostler fleet Inspect engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components to keep everything running at peak performance Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs quickly and efficiently Build and assemble mechanical components as needed Conduct routine and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment Manage parts inventory and place orders when required Track and maintain preventative maintenance schedules Assist in other operational areas as directed by management Benefits Bi-annual tool allowance Company-provided uniforms If you're a talented Diesel Mechanic who takes pride in your work, apply today and take the next exciting step in this position with Pacific Rail Services.
