Job Description
The primary location of this position is on the main Cullowhee, NC campus. The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform cleaning janitorial and set-up tasks as assigned. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, stripping and waxing of tile floors. The position is also responsible for assisting in the supervision of part-time staff in job assignments, noting and reporting irregularities or discrepancies in work to the immediate supervisor. Normal work schedule will either be first or second shift Monday-Friday. Final decision regarding schedule will be determined by Ramsey Center leadership and availability of potential candidates. Work schedule varies, including evenings, nights and weekends or long shift work to meet the demands of the event production schedule. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position This position requires a knowledge of accepted cleaning procedures, the ability to perform heavy physical work, including the ability to lift heavy equipment (0-90 lbs.), an ability to perform event set-up, tear-down and clean-up of special events held in the facility.
