Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting middle school students as a Registered Behavior Technician. This contract opportunity offers you the chance to work closely with students, teachers, and staff, providing vital whole-class support and targeted behavioral interventions. You'll use your expertise to reduce challenging behaviors such as elopement, hallway wandering, and aggressive actions—helping to create a safe, positive learning environment that benefits everyone. This full-time role (32.5 hours per week) starts as soon as possible and runs through June 18, 2026. You'll be based in a dynamic educational setting, applying your skills directly in the classroom where it counts the most.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required. At least one year of experience providing behavioral support, ideally in a middle or high school environment. Experience addressing complex behaviors in youth, particularly elopement and aggression. Preference will be given to candidates with completed National BCI for immediate placement.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver whole-class and individualized behavioral support to middle school students. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to implement and monitor effective behavioral strategies. Collect and maintain detailed data on student progress and report regularly. Create positive rapport with students while maintaining professional boundaries. Adapt interventions as needed to respond to evolving student needs during the school year.
