Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal role supporting students' growth in a dynamic school environment as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). This contract opportunity, located in the vibrant area near Norwalk, CT, invites dedicated RBT professionals to make a daily difference in the lives of children and adolescents requiring behavioral support. Ideal candidates are passionate about fostering student success and skill development. Your ability to collaborate tactfully with education professionals, families, and students will set you apart.
What We're Looking For:
Current RBT certification required Previous experience supporting children or adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder or related developmental differences Familiarity with ABA techniques and data collection Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based setting Flexibility, empathy, and a positive, resourceful attitude Willingness to adapt to varied school settings and student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under supervision of a BCBA Collect and record accurate behavioral data during sessions Deliver instructional and behavioral support to assigned students Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and caregivers to encourage consistent strategies and growth Provide feedback and progress updates to the supervising BCBA and school teams Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all ethical guidelines
