Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Behavior Therapists (BT/ RBT) to join our clinical team and work with children with Autism. In this vital role, you'll be directly implementing instructional and environmental modifications to produce socially significant improvements in our clients' behavior through skill acquisition and the reduction of challenging behaviors. You'll work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and/or a Clinical Supervisor within a homey clinic setting, contributing significantly to our clients' success. Responsibilities Directly implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by a supervising BCBA or Clinical Supervisor. Provide 1:1 ABA therapy services to clients in our clinic, with occasional visits to clients' homes, and community environments. Accurately collect, record, and graph data on client progress, program effectiveness, and behavior occurrences. Utilize discrete trial training (DTT), natural environment teaching (NET), and other ABA methodologies as outlined in treatment plans. Facilitate skill acquisition programs across various domains, including communication, social skills, and daily living skills. Implement behavior reduction strategies consistently and safely, under supervision. Maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for clients. Communicate effectively and professionally with supervising BCBAs, Clinical Supervisors, colleagues, and client families. Attend and actively participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing training. Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional standards, including those set by the BACB's RBT ethics code and California Regional Center requirements. Possess a passion and enthusiasm for individualistic child development and a drive to guide each client's growth journey. Requirements Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is a plus. If you are not yet RBT certified, we will encourage you to persue the certification for the benefit of the clients your will serve and to ensure the quality of the treatment you will deliver. High School Diploma or equivalent. AND Completion of 30 hours of competency-based training designed by a certified Behavior Analyst, and six months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities; OR Possess an Associate's Degree in a human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management, from an accredited community college or educational institution, and six months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities. Demonstrated understanding of basic ABA principles. Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities is strongly preferred. Ability to work effectively under direct supervision and receive constructive feedback. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children and families. Ability to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines. Ability to clear a background check and TB test.

$27.00 - $32.00 per hour
