Job Summary Join us as a Behavior Hero dedicated to shaping the future of local youth! In this rewarding role, you will work directly with children and adolescents to promote positive behaviors, support developmental growth, and foster a nurturing environment. Your passion for helping others will drive impactful change, empowering young individuals to reach their full potential. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities and autism. Your expertise in behavioral health and education will be essential in creating personalized care plans and implementing effective behavior management strategies. Duties Implement behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies to support children's development. Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, dressing, and feeding, promoting independence. Collect and analyze data on behavior patterns to inform treatment plans and monitor progress accurately. Collaborate with team members to develop, review, and update individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs. Support children in educational settings by applying special education principles and teaching social skills. Maintain detailed medical records, documentation of interventions, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Engage in patient care activities that promote behavioral health and positive behavior management outcomes. Skills Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Ability to assist with ADLs and implement care plans effectively. Proficiency in data collection methods related to behavior management and progress tracking. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and maintaining accurate medical records. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information. Excellent teaching skills combined with patience, empathy, and a motivating attitude toward helping youth thrive. Pay:
$19.00 - $28.00 per hour
