Reach Truck Operator and Order picker

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Reach Truck Operator and Order Picker to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating reach trucks and other heavy equipment to handle materials, stock inventory, and fulfill customer orders. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate order fulfillment, and safe handling of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse management skills, mechanical knowledge, and experience with various warehouse equipment to support our distribution processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate reach trucks safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately using RF scanners and warehouse management systems Stock shelves and organize inventory to optimize storage space and accessibility Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring proper documentation and quality control Load and unload heavy equipment, pallets, and materials using forklifts or pallet jacks Conduct regular inspections of heavy equipment to maintain safety standards Support warehouse supervisor in maintaining inventory accuracy and order fulfillment efficiency Participate in cycle counts, stock audits, and quality checks to uphold warehouse standards Collaborate with team members to meet daily distribution targets and improve workflow processes Qualifications Proven experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a warehouse environment Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for order picking and inventory control Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment, and stock management Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment Experience with picking & packing processes, including order picking and packaging techniques Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols, heavy lifting techniques, and quality control standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Prior experience in warehouse supervision or leadership roles is a plus This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about logistics operations.
