As we grow, were adding a Real Estate Attorney to our Columbia, South Carolina office. The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated attorney to manage real estate closings and provide legal support to our real estate clients . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate transactions , excellent communication skills, and a commitment to outstanding client service. What You'll Do Lead all aspects of real estate closings : contract review, due diligence, title review, clearing issues, document preparation, settlement statements, and funding. Advise clients throughout the transaction; communicate clearly with buyers/sellers, agents, lenders, and other stakeholders. Identify and resolve issues impacting title, payoff, HOA/condo matters, and lender requirements. Stay current on South Carolina real estate laws, recording requirements, and local practices. Maintain accurate files, deadlines, and checklists to ensure smooth, timely closings. What You'll Bring Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active license in South Carolina (in good standing) (NC active license, in good standing, is a plus). 1 to 3+ years of experience in real estate transactions preferred. Exceptional client service, responsiveness, and professional communication. Strong organization and analytical skills; accuracy under deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
