Los Angeles, CA Position Type:
Full-Time Experience:
0-2 Yr Overview A private Los Angeles-based real estate development firm is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Real Estate Development Analyst to join its team. The firm focuses on acquiring and controlling land, managing due diligence and the entitlement process, and ultimately delivering finished projects to homebuilders. The role provides direct involvement in the execution of development projects and requires managing a wide range of workstreams simultaneously. This position is best suited for a candidate who is highly organized, capable of maintaining control over numerous moving pieces, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. As part of a small team, the analyst will work closely with principals and gain practical exposure to the full development process. About the Firm This confidential search is being conducted on behalf of a private real estate development firm based in Los Angeles. The firm specializes in residential land development, including the acquisition and entitlement of projects ranging from small infill sites to larger subdivisions. The team works closely with municipalities, consultants, escrow and title parties, and other industry participants to advance projects from contract through diligence, entitlement, and execution. As a growing firm, the team offers the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility early and to develop a broad understanding of how projects are sourced, diligenced, structured, entitled, and executed. Role Description This is an execution-focused role centered on managing due diligence, entitlement coordination, and the day-to-day operational work required to keep multiple development projects moving. The Real Estate Development Analyst will coordinate with cities, engineers, planners, consultants, escrow and title parties, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure that projects advance in an organized and timely manner. The role requires strong attention to detail, consistent follow-through, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities. This is not primarily a financial modeling role. While the position includes exposure to acquisitions, deal evaluation, and broader development strategy, its primary focus is execution. Over time, the analyst will develop a practical understanding of how value is created through diligence, entitlement, and development execution.
