We are seeking an experienced and driven Real Estate Paralegal and Processor to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing real estate transactions from contract to closing, ensuring all documentation is meticulously prepared, deadlines are consistently met, and clients receive the highest level of service. Your responsibilities will encompass title examination, document preparation, and seamless coordination with clients, lenders, title companies, and all parties involved in the real estate process. The ideal candidate brings a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a law firm or title company setting, possesses an in-depth understanding of real estate law and procedures, and demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Bilingual proficiency in English and Russian is strongly preferred to better serve our diverse clientele. Requirements Assist attorneys in preparing, reviewing, and finalizing real estate documents including purchase and sale contracts, deeds, mortgages, closing disclosures, and settlement statements. Conduct thorough title searches, review and analyze title commitments, identify and resolve title defects or encumbrances, and coordinate with title underwriters as necessary. Serve as a primary point of contact and proactively coordinate communication between clients, lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and all other stakeholders to ensure seamless transaction progress. Actively manage and monitor transaction timelines, track critical deadlines, and take initiative to resolve outstanding issues to ensure timely and successful closings. Prepare, organize, and review closing packages to ensure all required documents are complete, accurate, and properly executed; coordinate post-closing tasks including document recording and disbursement of funds. Balance lender Closing Disclosures (CD) against settlement statements, identify and reconcile discrepancies, and prepare accurate HUD-1 or ALTA settlement statements in preparation for closing. Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date records for all real estate files using Qualia and other firm systems, ensuring compliance with firm protocols and applicable regulations. Provide comprehensive ongoing support to the legal team to facilitate efficient and effective transaction and case management, including assistance with overflow work and special projects as needed. Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a real estate paralegal or processor in a law firm or title company setting; demonstrated experience managing transactions from contract through closing is required. In-depth knowledge of real estate law, title examination, title insurance, and transaction processes in both residential and commercial contexts. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency in Qualia transaction management software is required; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other real estate or legal practice management tools is strongly preferred. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment; bilingual proficiency in English and Russian is strongly preferred.
