Receiving and Shipping Associate

Shipping & Receiving Clerk Position Summary The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate receipt, handling, storage, and shipment of materials and finished goods. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production flow, adherence to quality standards, and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled correctly and on time. We are willing to train the right individual. This position is best suited for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up consistently, and is motivated to learn and grow. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Incoming Inspection Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips Inspect materials for damage, defects, and basic quality conformance Document and report discrepancies (shortages, overages, or damage) Label and identify materials per company standards Inventory & Material Handling Put away materials in designated locations using established inventory methods (FIFO, location control, organization standards) Maintain accurate inventory records within the system Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as required Keep storage areas and work area clean and organized Shipping & Outbound Processing Pick, pack, and prepare finished goods for shipment Verify orders for accuracy (part, quantity, and documentation) Package materials to ensure safe delivery to customers Prepare or assist with shipping documentation (packing slips, bills of lading, labels) Loading & Transportation Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment Ensure safe handling and secure loading of all materials Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries General Operations Support Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow all safety procedures and company policies Assist with general warehouse or shop tasks as needed What We're Looking For Positive attitude and willingness to learn Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to follow direction and complete tasks with consistency and accuracy Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities Desire to grow into expanded responsibilities over time We can train the job tasks. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred Forklift experience or willingness to be trained and certified Basic computer skills; experience with ERP or inventory systems is a plus Experience in a Quality System (ISO or other) environment preferred Ability to read and understand basic work instructions and shipping documents Physical & Work Environment Ability to lift and move materials (typically up to 50 lbs.) Standing, walking, and material handling throughout the shift Manufacturing/warehouse environment with exposure to noise and temperature changes

Pay:

$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
