Receiving and Shipping Associate

Duties Receive incoming shipments by accurately unloading trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks, verifying quantities against shipping documents. Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movement and update stock records in real-time. Prepare outgoing orders by picking items with order pickers, packing them securely, and labeling for shipment. Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols, utilizing reach trucks and other material handling equipment as needed. Maintain organized storage areas through proper stocking techniques, ensuring easy access for order fulfillment. Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and cycle counts to support accurate stock levels in our warehouse distribution system. Support shipping activities by coordinating with carriers and preparing shipping documentation for e-commerce orders and bulk distribution. Requirements Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes. Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely and effectively; certification preferred. Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and order calculations. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is a plus. Knowledge of order picking & packing procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in order fulfillment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety guidelines consistently. Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts.
