Who We Are:
Island Pump & Tank (IPT) specializes in providing high-quality services and solutions for the petroleum industry. We manage projects from installation to maintenance and repair, focusing on petroleum equipment, fuel storage, dispensing systems, and environmental compliance. IPT is committed to safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance across all operations.
Job Summary:
The Receiving Associate at IPT is responsible for unloading and unpacking incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of orders, and preparing items for stocking. This person will also help with the organization of inventory and supporting the supply chain team as needed. This position is critical to ensuring that shelves are adequately stocked with the products our techs need.
What You'll Do:
Receive incoming shipments and verify items on packing slips and purchase orders match. Unpack and inspect items for defects or damage. Sort and place items on shelves in appropriate areas. Maintain accurate inventory records. Work with the accounting team with any discrepancies with receipts. Assist with restocking shelves when needed. Assist with loading outbound shipments. Keep work area organized and clean. Assist with stock checks and cycle counts. Assist with other tasks as needed.
What You'll Need:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong overall computer skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for effective customer and team interactions. Previous experience with an ERP system is preferred. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively. Experience in receiving or supply chain is preferred. Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds. Physically able to stand for long periods of time. Strong attention to detail. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
