Ensures correct delivery and shipment of materials to internal and external customers. Duties and Responsibilities Performs work per work instructions Operates hand truck & fork lift Unpacks and confirms incoming non-stock receipts checking for correct item, quantity and free of damage Communicates with shipper to rectify shortages/damages Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies Performs all computer functions necessary to track purchase orders Responsible for planning for returns of items to suppliers Responsible for delivery of items to points of use Required to make pick-ups and deliveries using company vehicle Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area Practice 5S Preparation of load list to OB, verification of shipment, & create and ship TR for shipment Work with OB team regarding shipments/ incoming trucks through email communication Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and blueprints Basic math skills Basic computer skills Forklift experience preferred Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Experience in material handling preferred Physical and Weight Lifting Demands The physical and weight lifting demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
