Job Description
Purpose:
To ensure accurate and timely data entry and coordination of all inbound and outbound shipments related to customer inventory, including raw materials, packaging components, finished goods, and sample shipments. This role supports warehouse operations and customer service by maintaining precise records and facilitating smooth logistics processes. Primary Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to): 1. Data Entry for Inbound Deliveries Accurately enter data for all incoming shipments of customer raw materials and packaging components into inventory management systems. Verify shipment documentation (e.g., packing slips, bills of lading) for accuracy and completeness. Communicate discrepancies or issues to appropriate departments. 2. Schedule Inbound Loads Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule delivery appointments for inbound shipments. Maintain a delivery calendar and ensure dock availability for incoming loads. Communicate schedules with warehouse and receiving teams. 3. Coordinate Outbound Shipments Contact freight carriers to schedule pickups for outbound customer finished products. Ensure all shipping documentation is prepared and accurate. Track and confirm shipment pickups and deliveries. 4. Assist with Outbound Data Entry Support the shipping team by entering data for outbound shipments of customer finished goods. Ensure all outbound records are updated in real-time and reflect accurate inventory levels. 5. Handle Small Parcel Shipments Prepare and process small parcel shipments (e.g., UPS, FedEx) for customer samples and other outbound items. Generate shipping labels and ensure proper packaging and documentation. Track and confirm delivery of sample shipments.Qualifications and Skills Required:
Licenses/Certificates:
D.O.T. (Ground)- Department of Transportation certification for ground shipping. IATA (Air)
- Certification for handling air shipments in compliance with international air transport regulations. IMDG (Vessel)
- Certification for shipping hazardous materials by sea under the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code.
Experience:
Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics preferred. Familiarity with inventory systems and shipping software is a plus.Skills:
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, data entry systems). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and time management abilities.Physical Demands:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Occasionally lift or move packages up to 25 lbs. Navigate between office and warehouse environments as needed.Other:
