Job Description
Receptionist/Assistant Primary Function The Receptionist/Front Desk position performs routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work in answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance, data processing, and record-keeping. Major Responsibilities Greets clients and public and connecting them with the appropriate party. Answers the phone in a timely manner and direct calls to the correct departments and persons. Develops and maintains office forms and procedures, assists with administrative tasks including composing, typing and editing correspondence, reports, memoranda and other material. Provides office coordination such as, ordering office supplies, outlook calendars, bank deposits, etc. Skills, Qualifications, and Knowledge
- High School graduate or GED
- Organized, ability to establish priorities, multi-task, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal to no supervision
- Communicates proficiently
- Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods, including telephone communication, office systems, and record keeping
- Skills to use personal computer and various software packages
- Ability to manage stress efficiently
- Ability to handle and resolve problems
- Ability to maintain an orderly work environment
- Ability to anticipate supply needs and plan accordingly
- Must be able to work with and without supervision Other Information Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
