  • Full-time Our Company Dicalite is a company that uses naturally occurring minerals to improve products used for filtration of liquids such as wine, beer, and swimming pool water, for use in building products such as wallboard, ceiling tile, and joint compound, and for use in creating potting soils and hydroponic growing media for plant growth.
Dicalite operates at the intersection of mining, branded consumer products, industrial manufacturing and processing, and research & product development to provide value to over 1,000 customers across the world. Dicalite is privately owned and has been in business for 98 years. Dicalite's operating footprint includes 16 facilities across North America and Europe. Operating through a fully integrated network of five mines and twelve refining, processing, and packaging facilities, the company has a unique multi-mineral platform that includes perlite, vermiculite, and diatomaceous earth. Dicalite's core business is selling wholesale products to blue chip customers such as Home Depot, Scotts Miracle-Gro, Cargill, Sherwin Williams, numerous California wineries, 3M, numerous breweries including Heineken and Yards Brewing, and Nestle Purina, among others.
Broad Function:
The individual in this role will be responsible for maintaining accurate production and shipping records at the plant. They will support weekly invoice processing and ensure timely payments. Additionally, the role includes managing incoming phone calls, directing inquiries appropriately, and providing guidance to drivers as needed. This position requires strong organizational skills to maintain detailed vehicle records and to prepare and submit required annual and quarterly reports. The individual will also be responsible for completing and submitting month-end reports to the corporate team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, a willingness to support team members, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform receptionist duties, including answering and directing calls, greeting visitors, and maintaining organized filing systems.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient daily office operations, including assistance with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
  • Maintain, update, and analyze production reports and related Excel spreadsheets.
  • Assist with monthly inventory processes and support the preparation of month-end reports.
  • Support the preparation and timely submission of regulatory reports.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant and office operations. Key Competencies

  • Basic accounting knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems required; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with 10-key data entry and basic accounting functions preferred.
  • Knowledge of trucking, carriers, and rail logistics is a plus.
  • Experience with SharePoint is a plus.
Working Conditions:
