Recreation Assistant

$500 Sign on Bonus Recreation Assistants Needed 5 Days per week/ Works one shift every weekend. St. Johnland is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Recreation Assistant to join our team! As a Recreation Assistant you will support our Rec Therapy Department, helping our residents achieve physical, emotional, and social well-being through engaging activities and programs. Responsibilities include:

Conducting individual recreation programs Participating in facility wide events Documenting program attendance and participation Following care plans, safety guidelines and ensuring the well-being of our resident population Encouraging resident participation, socialization, and community engagement

WHAT YOU NEED

(Requirements/Qualifications) High school diploma or equivalent Must be able to communicate in English Ability to stand for long periods of time 1-year previous experience in Nursing Home Recreation preferred Therapeutic Recreation Certificate preferred Compassionate and positive attitude Commitment to providing exceptional care and service to our residents
