Recreation Coordinator

Full-Time Recreation Coordinator We are seeking a creative, compassionate, and energetic Recreation Coordinator to join our skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Plan, develop, and implement engaging recreational activities and programs tailored to resident needs Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, participation, and progress in accordance with New York State guidelines Coordinate transportation for residents to and from activities and outings Lead and facilitate recreational programs on assigned units and throughout the facility

Qualifications:

3-4 years of recreation experience in long-term care preferred Experience in music therapy and/or proficiency in singing or playing piano or guitar strongly preferred Knowledge of MDS and care planning processes Familiarity with CMS and New York State regulations, including survey compliance Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Genuine compassion and commitment to enhancing the lives of the senior population Ability to collaborate effectively across departments Creative mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed
