03/03/2023 SUMMARY Appointed by the Recreational Grounds and Facilities Maintenance Supervisor with the approval of the Director of Recreation and Club Services. Requires valid Arkansas driver s license and clean driving record with proof of liability insurance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Perform unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in a variety of grounds and maintenance activities such as mowing, weeding, trimming, and swimming pool maintenance. 2. Performs building maintenance and janitorial duties at all Recreation facilities. 3. Requires working in all types of weather conditions. 4. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays if necessary. 5. Represent the Recreation Department and the Property Owners Association (POA) in a positive, friendly and courteous manner. 6. Maintain a safe and orderly work environment using proper safety equipment and techniques. 7. Have a thorough knowledge of rules and regulations and POA policies in all areas of responsibilites. 8. Perform minor mechanical and adjustments on all landscape equipment. 9. May be required to drive POA vehicle or personal vehicle while conducting POA business. 10. Any other related duties as assigned by Supervisor. 11. Regular attendance is required.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EXPERIENCE
Requires ability to operate and maintain landscape power equipment and tractor lawn mowers.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Requires a valid Arkansas drivers license and a clean driving record with proof of liability insurance.
