Position Summary:
Join the Origami team as our Recreational Therapist, where you'll play a pivotal role in transforming lives through innovative and meaningful therapeutic recreation services! Under the guidance of the Clinical Supervisor, you will design, coordinate, and evaluate individualized treatment plans that focus on both structured onsite activities and community integration, empowering clients to achieve their fullest potential. In role, you'll also mentor the Recreational Therapy Aide, ensuring seamless support for client-centered services. Your work will be central to enhancing the quality of life for each client, ensuring that care is tailored, impactful, and aligned with our mission, vision, and core values. Document client information including session notes, progress notes, and treatment plans per organization and insurance requirements. Provide recreational therapy to individuals and groups. Collaborate on strategic development of recreational therapy initiatives. Mentor the Recreational Therapy Aide. Requirements Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Embraces and embodies Origami's core values: Celebrate the Individual Inspire Excellence Serve with Integrity Lead with Passion Preferred Experience One to four years of related experience in clinical rehabilitation Experience in working with neurological conditions Supervisory Responsibilities Recreational Therapist carries no supervisory responsibilities Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to stand, walk, and sit (use hands to palpate, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel or crawl, and taste or smell). Accommodated alternatives are acceptable if they accomplish the necessary essential tasks. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
