Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Recruiting Director will provide oversight and support by managing the resources [staff and assets] assigned to their charge. This should include monitoring recruiters' performance to ensure they meet their target goals, approving advertising expenses. The manager shall facilitate effective communications with their teams, operations [terminal managers, driver managers, regional managers, and drivers], and our partnered driving schools. Driver retention is crucial to the success of our business. As a Recruiting Manager you must be a Gypsum Ambassador and represent the values and vision of the company. The position will be responsible for improving and developing innovative driver hiring processes by following the latest trends and monitoring the competition. Essential Functions Statement(s) 1. Establish and foster relationships and communication across all team members.- Working hand in hand with the Driver Retention Manager to help hire, retain, and train our new hires.
- Communicate with terminals on a regular basis to meet speak with, terminal and driver managers, regional managers, and drivers. 2. Examine all current hiring aspects and make necessary changes to improve the hiring process of experienced and student drivers.
- Following the "Industry's" recruiting trends as well as having knowledge of our competitor's offerings to prospective drivers to ensure Gypsum Express is keeping current in these practices.
- Researching the most effective advertisement avenues, including availability of promotional materials, and ease of reach of the targeted population.
- Approving advertising expenses to Accounts Payable for any invoices that are paid monthly or that are changed to the Company Credit Card. This includes processing and coding the expense and requesting final approval from management.
- Tracking recruiter's leads on a weekly basis and holding recruiters accountable for their results.
- Monitoring each recruiter's hire/terminal ratios on a quarterly basis and following up with each to adjust goals when needed.
- Learning about the "Tenstreet" Application System and teaching everyone involved to be proficient at it.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Experience:
successful CDL-A driver recruiting experience, flatbed experience preferred.Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on utilizing Excel functions. Ability to be productive in a Microsoft Windows environment and effectively use internet web-based tools for business. Capable of learning new computer programs to suit the job requirements. Knowledge Requirements Retain a fundamental understanding of theDOT/FMCSA/OSHA
