Job Description

DEFINITION
The Memorial Medical Group (MMG) Specialty Referral Management Office (RMO) supervisor develops processes and systems for referral management, tracking and referral appointing for the MMG Specialty Clinics. The supervisor performs a variety of tasks that requires basic knowledge of systems and procedures. The position is responsible for management/scheduling of all incoming referrals from the Lawton Community Health Center and MMG primary care clinics and faxed referrals from community referral sources related to specialty services provided by MMG Specialists. The position oversees referral management services provided by subordinate staff and upholds standards that result in a positive patient experience. The supervisor works closely with clinic physicians, supervisors and practice management staff to help optimize recapture of referrals through template optimization, education of referral sources of pre-referral testing, and steerage.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
(IF
APPLICABLE
): Authorized to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State of Oklahoma.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
RN preferred or LPN with one to two years physicians' office nursing experience. Familiarity with various software programs including but not limited to electronic health records, word, excel, power point. Strong verbal skills in interpersonal situations required. Clinical Experience
