Uniform Services Time Off (USTO) Uniform Services Differential Pay A culture that appreciates Team Members Monthly cell phone stipend + mileage/travel reimbursement What you'll be doing: Travel between sites in Ohio and Delaware to inspect, maintain, and repair locomotives Perform routine inspections such as 92-day and 184-day checks Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, and air brake systems Complete daily servicing and respond to breakdowns to keep operations running Perform testing on brakes, batteries, and electrical systems Track oil samples to help find engine problems early Read and use schematics, manuals, and parts catalogs to diagnose issues Order parts and manage inventory needed for scheduled and unscheduled repairs Work with site teams to plan maintenance and reduce downtime Use welding and cutting tools when needed for repairs Record inspections, repairs, and work orders in company systems Support safe work practices and follow all railroad safety rules Requirements to be successful in this position: Miniumum 3-5 Years Experience maintaining and repairing locomotives (EMD experience preferred) Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to read technical manuals and electrical schematics Able to work independently and make sound decisions in the field Basic computer skills and ability to use maintenance tracking systems Strong focus on safety and following procedures Good communication and teamwork skills Valid driver's license required Willing and able to travel regularly between job sites Ability to meet various pre-employment requirements which may include but not limited to: Criminal background check Drug and alcohol screening Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review; valid Driver's license required Fitness-for-duty assessment to ensure that candidates can safely perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to receive and maintain site access credentials or badges per site-requirements Here are some of the physical requirements for this role: Stand, walk, and work for long periods of time Lift and carry up to 50 pounds Work outdoors in all weather conditions Climb ladders and work on uneven or elevated surfaces Work safely around heavy equipment and in industrial environments #IND1Similar remote jobs
