Job Description

Irwin Car and Equipment is a company that has been delivering exceptional quality and customized precision to its customers from day one. Irwin is seeking an accomplished individual to work as an Outside Regional Sales Manager to service accounts in the Somerset, Johnstown, Blairsville, Pittsburgh, and Kittanning areas. They will support the day-to-day estimating, proposal generation, and sales efforts of the business unit. This person will report to the Vice President of Mining Sales.
Job Responsibilities:
Handle customer inquiries by identifying a customer's needs and capitalizing on sales opportunities by providing solutions. Learn "catalog standard" product lines and be able to articulate to customers. Assist in generating sales quotations by creating basic estimates on inquiries (with support, review, and training from Manager) Cold calling and following up on leads from sales campaigns, conferences, and tradeshows. Closing sales and seeing manufactured projects through to completion and shipment. Parts Delivery Read industry trends and project/forecast business based on those trends. Liase with inside sales, engineering, and production departments to provide status updates to customers. Manage multiple customer accounts
Preferred Requirements and Qualifications:
Experience working with people in the Coal/Metal/Salt Mining industry (preferred, not required) Knowledge in metal fabrication/manufacturing Excellent written and verbal communication Excellent active listening skills and an aptitude for problem solving Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people Provide a positive attitude to foster a friendly work culture. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Ability to multi-task as well as prioritize and manage time efficiently Willingness to learn and become a vital part of a 130-year-old industry leading company Experience in a type-like sales role and/or a 4-year college degree
